L-serine is a neutral amino acid with an isoelectric point of 5.68. L-serine is hexahedral flaky crystal or prismatic crystal, odorless and sweet. The solubility of L-serine is 50g/L. It is easily soluble in water and formic acid. At 20°C, its solubility in water is 250g/L. It is almost insoluble in ethanol, ether and acetone.
