Dipotassium glycyrrhizinate can inhibit the production of melanin. In the experimental study, the back skin of guinea pigs was selected. Under UVB irradiation, the skin whiteness coefficient (LChemicalbook value) of the skin pretreated with 0.5% dipotassium glycyrrhizinate was higher than that of the control group. Significantly, the experimental results show that dipotassium glycyrrhizinate can significantly inhibit melanin production, and can be used to prevent skin pigmentation and melanin production after sun exposure, and is a potential skin whitening agent.
